PlayMyQ HD App Reviews

This app is SWEET!!!

I was looking for an app that allowed to queue up my music library, and this app couldnt have been a better fit. The remote control with my iPhone (and vice versa) is wicked cool. Also works over a personal hotspot connection which is great when no wi-fi available. Now my only issue will be getting my whole music library on my iPad (hello iTunes Match). For $0.99 this app is well worth it...

Great

I love this music player!!! The only thing that could make this amazing would be the ability to set the songs to crossfade at a certain time. I am a ballroom dance instructor and I often dj parties where I need to fade songs at 2 min...It would be great to be able to set up a playlist that could cross fade at 2 min without having t stop dancing to manually fade the music. That would be the greatest update ever!!!

Great app

Im so happy with this app. Ive been recommending it to everyone. I havent done a review or rating on any other app Ive ever installed. This one is so great I had to say something. I downloaded and tried every other free jukebox and music player app I saw. This one has the most and best features. I immediately upgraded to the HD version since Im using an iPad. I was happy to spend the $1. I cant wait to see what else they add.

One app developer to another ... Nice job!

I was going to write an app that did just this. Simply because I like picking out songs while listening to my music. But dont want to stop my current song. But this app is everything I ever wanted and even more. Not to mention sexy!!! 5 stars man! Way to go!

App-tastic!

The perfect app for music lovers. The perfect party, camping, or just around the house app. Queue up songs while you listen. The guest app is perfect for group events. Love it!

None better

This is the best music app that I have tested. I have tested many and I love the interface; clean and simple with music a queue. Love it at parties!! If you could play music from your home network or NAS server I would give it five stars!!!

I love it!

If youre tired of the crapy layout of the ipad music library , then this app is for you. The best thing about this app is I can plug my ipad up to my home stereo system and pick songs from the ipad library from my iphone. This is just what Ive been looking for. Well worth the .99

Finally! A crossfading app that actually works! I tried a bunch of other apps, but one didnt allow adding the same song twice. Another one crashed after 2 songs. Another one wouldnt work on my 2nd generation iPod touch. This one works. Im using it to repeat an ocean sounds mp3 as background noise for my newborn while he sleeps. I needed crossfading otherwise there was a gap between the tracks. Anyway, this app is working well for me!

A must have for a party

I had a crawfish boil and placed a spare wifi router outside and plugged my amp into my iPad. I setup my iPad to see the new router then used my iPad to search for myhq on my iPad which I controlled all the music from my iPhone. I was the social DJ Butterfly. This is by far the best music play app hands down. The only app that has an working crossfade.

What the iPod app should be

Wow this app is how the iPod app should be. It is by far the most exciting music player in the app store.

Exactly what I was looking for

My kids love having dance parties so Ive been looking for something that would let you queue up music without disrupting whats playing or having to create a whole playlist. This works perfectly!

No equalizer, does not play songs protected by DRM

The equalizer will not work while using this app. The app does not play songs with DRM protection.

Great, some issues

This is the best cueing app out there. The ui isnt super pretty, but its very usable. The ability to allow friends to cue is awesome. The issue I encounter is that some of my songs get skipped, even when running in the native mode. There is no indication why... Because theyre in iCloud? Because the encoding is off? It would be great to know why some can fix it. Better yet it would be great to have them actually play. Most play and its a fun experience.

Great app!

Works as expected.

This app is promising...

Problem is song playback when transitioning to next song, song does not play to the end! Although the appearance is minimalistic, and features are simplistic-I like this app and hope to see these issues addressed in future updates! Would also be nice if album art and lyrics (as shown on native app) were able to be displayed.

3 stars

Great app. But really not easy to use. Improve UI, please then i give it 5 stars

This app works!

I needed an app that would 1. fade / crossfade when the Next Track button was pressed 2. Work with a remote 3. Show custom album art 4. Use existing playlists 5. Allow for repeat tracks in the playlist I have tried many apps and none would do all five of the above. This app does all of this and has a few other perks along the way such as a full screen option that I can read from across the stage, volume control from a remote, and previous track as well as next track. In order to display Album Art, the ID3 Tag must be in v2.4 format. This is easy to do inside of iTunes. Right click on the file and choose the Tag Converter.

Fantastic app!

Used this last night to play music for a party. Was able to have an iPod with the music plugged into a sound system. I then shared the iPod and managed the music queue and system volume as I enjoyed the party. I had the connection via bluetooth since the hall didnt have a network. App worked great. I had one crash as I was setting up but it ran for the next dour hours. Cant recommend this enough for running a music queue for a party.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Ive been looking for an app that lets you queue up the songs you want to hear next, but also have it switch back to shuffle once the queue is finished. This does exactly that (the only app in the App Store I believe). Thanks!

Works well!

My suggestions for next update: 1. Add a sleep timer to the settings 2. Add an equalizer to the settings 3. Consider updating the look of the UI to one uniformed design. Many of the buttons and track highlight colors dont complement each other. Other than that, this is the most stable player with crossfading capability that Ive found in the App Store. Just a few more bells and whistles, and a visual makeover, and you will see huge growth in your user base!
